This is one of my best friends, her kids, and mine of course. (our husbands were working) This was our little social bubble for the summer of 2020. The family that has kept us sane during these crazy times.
With winter looming just around the corner, we wanted to get outside, have some fun, and try to capture some decent photos of the kids. Trying to photograph my own kids as they get older is getting more and more difficult! Life is busy! My kids are not as interested in having their pictures taken all the time...only by me of course, and not to mention I've been busy working and catching up on life's never-ending tasks.
This was a fun opportunity to get outdoors, get some fresh air, and see if we could capture anything...no guarantees. There was lots of goofing around! Especially because the kids are all friends. There were some little meltdowns...mostly from us Moms trying to get our kids to behave and listen for more than 2 minutes at a time! (It's been a loooooong year!) I'm sure any parent who has been home with their kids can attest to that too! The kids are great, behave the majority of the time, and god bless them, they have dealt with everything that is happening in the world this year like champs.
I'm happy with what we captured, kids had fun, and at the end of the day, that is all that matters.
I give HUGE PROPS to all the family photographers and wedding photographers out there! Dealing with the outdoor elements, your gear, multiple people/ families, then trying to get a decent pic of everyone is definitely not an easy task!
Here's a view of what we ended up getting that day.
